How to choose the most suitable grease for your bearings? Usually, the three points below need to be considered:

1. Working Environment
It mainly refers to the minimum and maximum temperature of the working environment, air humidity, whether it contains corrosive gas or excessive dust, etc. For example, lithium-based low-temperature grease should be used outdoors in severe cold areas, calcium-based grease should be used in places with high humidity and moisture, EP grease should be used on heavy-load bearings like slewing bearings and bearings on excavator.

2. Working Temperature
One is the lowest temperature of the operating environment, and the other is the highest temperature that may occur during operation. When the working temperature is high, high temperature grease with a high dropping point should be selected. Also low drop point grease used on low temperature working condition.

3. Load Condition
For heavy-load bearings, grease with a smaller cone penetration like NLGI 1 should be selected. Bearings working under high pressure require remarkable high oil film strength and extreme pressure.
