Here are some differences between them:

1. The engines used are different and the applied  principles are different.

2. Generally speaking, diesel engine oil with the same viscosity grade is more viscous than gasoline engine oil.

If a diesel engine is added to the gasoline engine, under normal circumstances, the car cannot be started. Because the ignition point of diesel is lower than that of diesel, it can be ignited when it is reduced, without an ignition device, while a gasoline engine for a vehicle has an ignition device. If the car is running, the rectifier will ignite the engine directly, which will cause engine knocking and damage the engine.
