In the daily operation of trucks, multiple parts require lubricating oil or grease to reduce losses and ensure normal operation due to friction, wear and tear. Based on actual working conditions, the following provides a detailed introduction to the key parts that require lubrication and the corresponding lubrication products:
1. Engine system
The engine is the “heart” of the truck, with internal components running at high speeds and requiring extremely high lubrication.
2. Transmission system
Gearbox: Whether it is a manual or automatic gearbox, the meshing and rotation of internal gears, synchronizers, bearings, and other components require gear oil lubrication to reduce gear wear and noise.
Drive axle (rear axle): The main reducer, differential gears, and bearings inside the drive axle need to pay attention to the load gear oil to prevent impact wear.
Drive shaft: The universal joint and expansion joint of the drive shaft are key lubrication points. Due to frequent angle changes and sliding friction, it is necessary to regularly add extreme pressure lithium grease.
3. Driving system
Wheel hub bearings: The tapered roller bearings inside the truck wheel hub bear the weight and radial force of the vehicle body and need to be filled with high-temperature grease.
Steel plate spring: The sliding friction between the steel plate spring plates can cause abnormal noise and wear, and lubricating grease needs to be applied between the plates.
4. Steering system
Steering gear: The mechanical steering gear needs to be filled with specialized lubricating oil for the steering gear
Steering rod and ball joint: The ball joint pin of the steering rod is in point contact friction with the ball joint seat, and regular lubrication is required.
Steering power pump: The gear or blade structure inside the hydraulic steering power pump requires the use of steering power oil.
5.Braking system (some auxiliary parts)
Brake camshaft and bracket: The brake camshaft of drum brakes rotates when the brake is applied, driving the brake shoes to open. Wear resistant lubricating grease (such as lithium grease) needs to be added between the shaft neck and bracket to avoid jamming and brake failure.
Brake pedal shaft: The rotating part between the pedal shaft and the bracket requires a small amount of lubricating grease to ensure smooth pedal return.
6.Other auxiliary parts
Clutch release bearing: The clutch release bearing is in contact with the pressure plate and bears axial force during gear shifting. Low noise lubricating grease (such as lithium based grease) needs to be added to avoid bearing abnormal noise or premature damage.
Various hinges and pull rods, such as door hinges, hood hinges, and cab flipping mechanism pull rods, need to be regularly lubricated with universal grease to prevent rusting and sticking.
